Disney classifies Coronado Springs Resort as a Moderate-priced hotel, but I consider it a Deluxe hotel based on its amenities: it’s the only Moderate hotel with a spa, convention center, multiple excellent restaurants and bars, and a gorgeous view of other Disney World properties. For those reasons, and more, I recommend Coronado Springs in the Moderate category.
This resort is decorated in a Mexican/Mayan/Southwestern US style theme. The resort consists of multiple 3-4 story buildings surrounding a lake, and the large Gran Destino tower with more upscale rooms. I recommend getting a room in the Gran Destino tower section, as you’ll be closer to dining and other amenities, but the outlying buildings have great rooms as well.
The views from this hotel are spectacular. Regardless of where you are, you see a beautiful well-manicured grounds around a lake. The Three Bridges Bar & Grill offers beautiful lakefront views (it’s literally in the middle of a lake) – especially gorgeous during night time dining. At the top of the Gran Destino tower is the Toledo restaurant, which has breathtaking views of the Disney World area – in good weather you can see the Hollywood Studios and Epcot theme parks!
One thing to mention is that Coronado Springs is a convention resort, so it frequently attracts businesspeople; because of that the decoration is more toned down than comparable resorts such as French Quarter and Caribbean Beach resorts.
