Disney World is testing new innovations in ride queuing based on this article from WDW News Today. According to this story, riders waiting for Avatar Flight of Passage (the Pandora roller coaster in Animal Kingdom) can now get a re-entry pass if they need to use the bathroom – when they rejoin the queue, they have to wait in a holding area until the rest of their group gets to where the fastpass and normal queues merge.
I think this is a great idea – people need to use the bathroom, especially if they’ve just eaten at the great Satu’li Canteen close by. I’m sure this ability will be added to other rides with long queues, such as the Expedition Everest roller coaster and the upcoming Star Wars rides.
